ZAKAT
Zakat has been instrumental in funding all major welfare schemes of MESCO. Even though MESCO has been fortunate in increasing the funds received through Zakat, it always had to turn away many a deserving brethren due to limitation of its Zakat funds. Put restriction on both the numbers and also the quantum of assistance. On the income side, donations and other income contribute 35% while Zakat income contributes 65%
